Mojito-ville (or, Friday evening…)

Sailin’ away to… Kizkalesi… Yep, Jimmy Buffet greeted us on the sound-system when we arrived at Hotel Angel Saadet on Friday evening–along with homemade curried chicken sausage, curried french fries, an adorable spaniel (named Shisko–or “chubby” in Turkish) a couple of excellent mojitos and Turkish coffee. Hotel Saadet, run by an American, Patrick, and his Turkish wife, Saadet, has quite the interesting blend of Turkish, Western European, and American qualities. It also somehow managed to combine the vibes of hotel, B&B and hostel all at once. Also, angels are the theme everywhere you look.

(see the angels on the plate?)
